Pick my brain anytime Phoebe. We have grown (much of) our own food for 30 years via orchards, gardens, raising fowl/fish, making wines, jams, chutneys etc, and foraging. We also reuse everything we can salvage. We do not have an elegant life on account of this, but a quality one full of natures beauty (and often beastliness I might add!... that mystery again!). It is a lot of work, but it is gratifying, creatively challenging, and a lot of fun.
